2025 REGIONAL JURIED PHOTO EXPOSITION
The following are the rules and requirements for entering the 2025 Clarksville Downtown Artists Co-Op (DAC) Regional Juried Photography Exposition. Please read the prospectus carefully and adhere to the guidance within.
ARTIST AND WORK ELIGIBILITY
All artists 18 years or older residing in Tennessee or Kentucky may enter. All work must have been completed within the past 3 years. All work must be original and created solely by the artist using some form of camera image capture. All work submitted via the online entry process will be eligible for display and awards. Work will be juried for awards based on content, visual elements, creativity, technical execution, presentation, and overall impact.
LIMITATIONS
Digitally edited, HDR or composite images are allowed if manipulation/editing is used as a presentational tool in support of the image’s organic photographic elements. Digital manipulation/editing may be applied to simple and minor formatting, cropping, sizing, and natural balance tone, and color. This is not a juried-for-entry show. All submissions are presumed eligible for inclusion pending on-site examination to assure submitted work meets requirements as stated in this prospectus. Final acceptance is at the discretion of the DAC. DAC reserves the right to not display images that are inflammatory, pornographic or otherwise deemed to be offensive to the public. All entrance fees are nonrefundable.
RISK AND LIABILITY
Completion of the entry form constitutes agreement by the entrant that there shall be no liability on the part of the Downtown Artists Co-op or any members or sponsors for loss, damage, or destruction of any works. Insurance of artwork is the sole responsibility of the participating entrant. By entering this event, you give consent to the DAC to use imagery of work exclusively for promotion of the exhibition and DAC.
CATEGORIES
Artists may submit a total of 3 works. Categories are aligned to previous years’ categories and are listed below with examples. DAC recognizes and encourages all digital, traditional, alternative and film photographic processes.

FRAMING AND LIMITATIONS
• Entries, including frame if applicable, must not exceed 48 inches on the longest side.
• All photographic work entered must be securely framed and back-wired, ready for hanging on
our hanging system (similar to a nail). Saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted.
• Canvas-wrapped work is acceptable provided properly back-wired.
• Images with alternative hanging systems will NOT be accepted. Images on glass, metal or
alternative medium may be entered, provided work adheres to the framed/wired rules.
• Work not securely presented and framed may not accepted at discretion of DAC.
AWARDS
Entry into the exhibition is non-juried (all entries are accepted provided they meet prospectus requirements). All work entered and delivered to DAC Gallery will be displayed and juried for awards by professional juror(s). Cash awards will be given for Best of Show as well as First, and Second Place in each category listed above. The cash award amounts will be based on entry fee receipts and sponsorships. Third Place Awards and Honorable Mention ribbons may be given at the discretion of the juror(s) and based on entries per category.
ENTRY PROCEDURES

Deadline for entry is 5 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 without exception.

Complete the online entry form prior to deadline.

Pay entry fee online prior to deadline: $30 for one entry, $45 for two entries, and $55 for three
entries. Fees are non-refundable. -
Upload a digital JPEG image of each entry. Images will be posted on the DAC website and
Facebook page exactly as submitted.-
Each image must be a minimum of 72 dpi, with a maximum file size of 2 MB. Images exceeding 2 MB may be delayed from entry and display.

Digital image should be cropped to show only the photographic image without mat or frame.

Care should be taken to avoid glare on images submitted.

Correctly orient the image as viewed, vertically or horizontally.

Rename the JPEG file as follows before upload:

FirstName_LastName_Title of Piece.jpg
Example: John_Doe_Best Photo Ever.jpg

Download and print the information tag form. Complete a form for each entry, assuring the
entry information matches the information on the entry form and tag. -
Cut out the information tag and tape to the back of the matching artwork for delivery to the DAC Gallery on February 1and 2, 2025.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK

Art must be delivered to the DAC Gallery, 96 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN either Saturday, February 1 between 9 AM and 5 PM or Sunday, February 2 between 1 PM and 5 PM.

Entries will be checked to assure online entry procedure has been completed and entries meet specified requirements. Entries not meeting requirements may be disqualified from entry.
RECEPTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARDS
As of the time of writing this prospectus, opening reception is planned for February 6, 2025 from 5-8 PM. Award winners will be announced live at DAC at 6:30 PM and via Facebook Live on DAC Facebook page. Winners will also be posted at DAC Gallery, on the DAC website and DAC social media along with of juror’s comments about pieces chosen for Best of Show and First and Second place awards.
DISPLAY OF EXHIBITION
The exhibit will be hung in the DAC Gallery from February 2 through March 1-2. 2025. Additionally, artwork images will be displayed on the DAC website throughout the exhibition and through March 2024.
ART SALES
DAC strongly encourages all entries to be priced for sale. DAC will receive 30% commission on all sales. Sold work must remain on display at DAC Gallery through end of exhibit. Funds from all sales will be delivered to artists after exhibition or by the end of the first week of March, 2025.
PICKUP OF ARTWORK
All entries must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. At the conclusion of the exhibit, work must be picked up and signed for at the gallery Saturday, March 1, 9 AM -5 PM or Sunday, March 2, 1-5 PM.
